I love turkey hunting, seriously. It is a hoot. If you think deer hunting is fun, well wait until you shoot turkeys. The funny thing about turkeys is that they are very territorial. This is why in many cases hunting male turkeys is like shooting fish in a barrel. It isn’t rocket science. In fact, it’s one of the simplest things to do.
Here’s the thing, in most states in the United States, there is a bag limit. In other words, you can only kill through hunting so many turkeys. This is why it is really important to look for and wait for the very biggest turkey you will ever come across. Unfortunately, the biggest tom turkey is not going to step up to you and introduce himself. That’s just not going to happen. He is not going to stick out his feathery hand and shake your hand waiting for you to shoot him right between the eyes.
These guys are clever. There is a reason why they got so big and so mature. They know how the game works. They know who to trust, they know what a fishy situation looks like, and they know how to avoid trouble from a mile away. In other words, they are quite flighty and it’s hard to bag them. It’s hard to track them down. They make it really difficult for you but believe me once you’ve bagged one of these big tom turkeys you feel so satisfied, you feel like you’re on top of the world because it seems like you’ve done the impossible.
You’ve waiting for the right turkey. Instead of just bagging easy younger turkeys that seem to be clueless, you waited for the biggest, worst, and most impressive male turkey. It took me a while to figure this out. I thought that I was just going to basically wake these turkeys out, I thought I was basically going to blow through all this time, effort, and energy. Well, it turned out, I was wrong.
I only needed to use the best turkey decoy and they come to me. Image that, instead of me having to wait for a long time under the bushes or go from bush to bush trying to find the right perspective, so I can shoot the right turkey at the right time to produce the right results, I did not have to do any of that.
Instead, I just got the very best turkey decoy I can lay my hands on, put it in the right spot, and sure enough the biggest turkey that I’ve ever seen showed up and I just blasted in the right spot. This way, I can still eat and enjoy a nice, tasty Filipino style turkey dinner with my extended family.
All thanks to the best turkey decoy. This is definitely one investment you need to make if you are a turkey hunter.
